A celebrated Battlefield 

The Chalmette Battlefield became popular for the war in 1815. Currently, this historical landmark is part of the Preserve System and Jean Lafitte Parks. Tourists can tour the battlefield and explore history via a guided tour or by planning to participate in the reenactment of the war of 1812. Visit Beauregard House and Tour its Fantastic Architecture

After the Beauregard house was reinstated by the parks services, it was transformed into a museum and Visitors Centre for battlefield and cemetery. This stunning piece of architecture was admired for its Louisiana plantation-style building. While touring the museum and visitor center, you can enjoy the details put into this beautifully reinstated piece of history.
